Alternative Fireworks on Regents Canal
Celebrating the season without explosions
We were approached for ideas for an alternative fireworks event on the Regents Canal to celebrate the change of seasons without explosions. Initially the site lent itself to projections as many of the buildings were wrapped due to redevelopment. We performed a live Liquid Light show which was projected onto the wrapping across the canal. The set was accompanied by Reuben Sutherland who played abstract guitar and theremin from the opposite bank. This event is now into its third year and has included a performance from a rowing boat by musician Ansuman Biswas, and more recently an hypnotic on shore set from Johhy Halifaxs Invocation. We set out each year to curate/create a dreamy and atmospheric collaboration. Many thanks to Lori, Laura and Rob for inviting us.
